Mother’s Day is not a day for mothers but rather a day for others;
to assuage the guilt they feel year-long for exploiting their wives and
mothers.
For the infringement on her time, the sapping of her energy,
the appropriation of her mind.
On Mother’s Day, a mom doesn’t get a day off. No, on Mother’s
Day, a mom must go along with the plans of her family and feign enjoyment of
what they deem to be fun or relaxing or flattering.
Mother’s Day is just another day where moms perform. They just
perform differently than on other days.
